No, my roommate received a nice keepsake. So I was wondering if what we were given were sentimental items - but it appears we're getting weapons as well.

I mean, mine is sentimental even if it's a weapon?

I'm just kind of surprised, I guess. I definitely don't think this is Cefiro, so my weapon shouldn't work.

Cefiro...? Is that a place?

[heartablaze]

Yeah. It's a whole world, actually. It's not where I'm from, and most people from where I live don't even know Cefiro exists. But it's really special.

My sword only really exists there.

More magic.... My, I have plenty to study up on.

I guess? Cefiro has some magic, but that was kind of different. I guess I really haven't tried using mine here, though.

Do you have magic where you're from, Haku-san?

[he shakes his head]

No, not in the slightest. Or rather, what inklings of magic we have are more closely tied to mythology than anything.

So it's a bit of a learning curve for me.

[heartablaze]

Mythology? Like what? Do you mean dragons and spirits, things like that?

[recrowns]

Mm, precisely that. Dragon gods are part of Kouka's creation myth, and there have been rumors of warriors with the powers like that in our creation myth lately.

So that's the closest thing to magic that I can think of.

[heartablaze]

What sort of powers? I know a lotta people think of fire when they see a dragon, but Cephiro has Seles who is kinda like a big dragon with water, so I guess it's bad to assume.

The myth goes something like where each warrior was blessed with one aspect of a dragon but...

[he shrugs, he's not much interested in it]

Either way, it's not on the same level that everyone else is referring to with their magic.

Cefiro's is definitely different. Clef always says that magic chooses its user, and the strength of your belief is what makes it powerful.

Is that so... So only a few people in your world had access to magic? How fortunate that you're one of them.

Clef gave us the ability to use magic, actually! He's had a lot of different students, and a lot of people say he's the strongest mage in the entire world. But what kind of magic was given to use was chosen by the magic itself. So I didn't wake up and say, oh, I want fire magic, Guru Clef. The fire chose me.

I don't really know the details past that, though. Cephiro isn't where I'm from, anyway.

Cephiro is another world that exists within your realm - right? So where do you dwell normally?

Yeah. It's a whole different place from my world.

I'm from Tokyo! That's the capital in Japan, my country.

[recrowns]

Ah, the capital might be a very lively place.

Do you like your home?

Yeah! It can get really busy sometimes, but it's the only place I know besides Cefiro. There's lots of memories there.

So of course I love it. I love them both.
