[ Sometimes worlds being swallowed up is a universal story, oblivion and death and the end of the world. He can't argue that this place doesn't feel like a story, though, one where he's happy enough being the background character so long as it keeps eyes off him. ]

You can still use an egg, even if you can't repair it back to the way it used to be. You can rescue what's left.

It's better than vanishing all together. Like throwing that egg away just because it's been cracked. Or... being eaten by a snake.

Just because something is falling apart doesn't mean it's lost.

Eh... hm... what's the last thing I ate at home? Salt grilled salmon, miso soup, natto, katsudon rice bowl... simple things like that.

My family runs a dojo, so we don't always have the time to make stuff like that ourselves. Mom used to when I was really little, but Satoru handles a lot of the cooking now when he isn't working.

Me? Um...

I help with the dojo, mostly? There's not a lot I can do, since I'm just fourteen, but I help some of the really young students and make sure everything's clean. I've got a doggie that I'm responsible for.

Other than that, my family wants me to try to focus on my studies and training, so that's what I'm doing until I can help as much as they're able to do right now.
